Sunday Funday – 13th November

Galway Atlantaquaria

Galway Atlantaquaria in partnership with the Marine Institute and Discover Science and Engineering will host a Family Funday to celebrate the launch of Science Week on Sunday the 13th November. The event is aimed at people of all ages.

Key guests on the day will be:

- Dinosaur T-Rex Junior,

- Mad Scientist and his “Fire and Ice show”

- Cartoon Drawing classes

- And much, much more

Visitors will have a chance to speak to experts from NUI Galway, Inland Fisheries Ireland, the Irish Whale & Dolphin Group, Irish Seal Sanctuary, the Marine Institute and the Galway Astronomy Club. Chemistry, arts & crafts and science experiments will give everyone a chance to roll up their sleeves and get to grips with the chemistry that surrounds us, while facepainting and diving exhibitions by Galway Dive Club will be happening throughout the day.

This event runs from 11.00 am – 5.00 pm on Sunday the 13th November at Galway Atlantaquaria, Salthill. It is taking place as part of the annual Science Week celebrations which sees hundreds of different events taking place around the country. Specially discounted admission rates to the aquarium and the exhibits will apply on the day and each family will receive a dinosaur present to take home on the day.
