Welcome to Galway Science
The 2011 Galway Science & Technology Festival, in conjunction with National Science Week, was launched by Mr Gerry Kilcommins of Medtronic at function in NUI Galway on October 24th..
The Festival aims to bridge the gap between students and industry and encourage students to choose STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) as their preferred subjects and chosen career.
The festival is now in it’s 14th year and has gone from strength to strength over the years with the participation of both primary and secondary schools throughout Galway City and County.
This festival could not take place without the generous support of our local companies, education and Government agencies who continue to sponsor the festival year on year and to whom we are most grateful.
The 2011 Festival will run from the 14th – 27th November and will culminate with our Final Day Exhibition on Sunday 27th November, hosted by NUI Galway.
